Puckett's Mill Media Center...Finished!

Tour of the completed Puckett's Mill Media Center
begins at the front door...

Azaleas and a humming bird lie beneath the bulletin board at the entrance.

The view down the first main wall in the Media Center...

PUCKETT'S STORE...located near present day Buford in 1911.

Completing in first wall is the Historical Elisha Winn House located in Dacula, Ga,
about 5 miles from Puckett's Mill.

The back wall of the Media Center features a series of windows and doors...looks as if some critters crept in

The exit sign and the clock were necessary features that were incorporated
into the mural as part of the banner and a hot air balloon!

Although Stone Mountain is just outside Gwinnett County, it is certainly a favorite for many Gwinnett County residents, and can be seen from many places in Gwinnett County. The back wall of the Media Center features the Stone Mountain Railroad and the mountain and it's famous carving.

Located on the square in downtown Lawrenceville,
the Historic Gwinnett County Courthouse is a highly recognizable local landmark.

The Gwinnett water towers were located just North of Jimmy Carter Boulevard off of I-85. They were torn down in recent years, but continue to stand on the Media Center walls.
The Mall of Georgia, located on Hwy 20, just off I-85, is a favorite shopping location. It's architecture is notable, and it's interior features the various regions of the State of Georgia. In addition, the statue atop features a rendition of Button Gwinnett. Finally, the water fountain has been a venue of fun and enjoyment for many of the students at Puckett's Mill.

The waterfall and stream are like those found throughout Gwinnett County.
With the Chattahoochee, Alcovy, Apalachee, Mulberry, and Yellow Rivers flowing through the county,
many picturesque scenes like this can be found.

The Gwinnett Braves play at Coolray field about 5 miles from Puckett's Mill.
Spring and Summer games at the stadium are a favorite for many Puckett's Mill students!

The Media Center trey ceiling got a makeover. It had previously been painted with an array of characters taking on characteristics of the school's mascot, the sparrow hawk. The characters were removed, blue skies added, and some favorite Dr. Seuss quotes featured.
